Job summary

Inceed, L.L.C. has partnered with a leading energy-services company to hire an Automation Engineer for a site-level controls environment. The role involves owning automation systems across two terminal locations, with opportunities to lead projects and drive lifecycle maintenance.

This onsite position demands strong technical leadership and solid collaboration with contractors. The ideal candidate has 6–8 years in automation/controls within petrochemical or terminal settings, DeltaV and Rockwell

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of automation, instrumentation, or process controls experience.
• Experience in petrochemical, refining, oil and gas, or terminal environments.
• Working knowledge of Emerson DeltaV.
• Working experience with Rockwell PLC systems.
• Experience supporting control system construction or commissioning.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in industrial automation environments.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week.
• Willingness to obtain a TWIC credential.
• Strong English communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to respond to emergencies outside normal business hours.

Compensation:

$140,000 - $170,000 annually, depending on experience

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Automation Engineer to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity for an automation professional who wants to take ownership of a site-level controls environment and grow into a long-term technical leadership role. The position supports a liquid storage terminal operation with a mix of automation support, project work, lifecycle maintenance, and hands-on troubleshooting across two nearby facilities.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Support automation and control systems across two terminal locations
• Assist with control system migration and upgrade projects
• Provide troubleshooting, configuration, and hardware/software support
• Partner with contractors during system implementation and commissioning
• Maintain lifecycle integrity of site automation systems
• Develop and review technical designs and functional specifications

• Wonderware, Toptech, or CCTV experience
• Exposure to SIS systems
• Knowledge of ISA 88, ISA 95, and IEC61511
• Familiarity with tank gauging systems
• Experience with OT cybersecurity principles
