Job summary

Job description

Our client is seeking a hands‑on Automation Engineer to support the buildout and startup of a new manufacturing facility. The consultant will specialize in automation programming, controls development, and system integration while supporting Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) and Computer System Validation (CSV) activities. Responsibilities will include developing and troubleshooting PLC and HMI programs, supporting automation system integration, executing functional testing, and collaborating with equipment vendors and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure systems operate as intended. Experience with platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, PLCs, SCADA, or DCS is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of GMP requirements and automation lifecycle documentation. Additional responsibilities will include supporting FAT/SAT execution, developing and executing qualification protocols, maintaining requirements traceability, resolving system deficiencies, and contributing to CSV documentation and testing. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite throughout equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, and facility startup.
