Job summary

Horizon Controls Group seeks an experienced Digital Plant Engineer for a large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing project in Indiana. The role is a long-term contract with hybrid work: 2 weeks onsite, 2 weeks remote for six months, then 1 week onsite per month.

You will define manufacturing systems, data architecture, and digital plant strategy, and collaborate with automation teams to ensure compliant, scalable data infrastructure across the project.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data architecture / digital strategy within pharma or biotech.

Responsibilities

• Define and integrate business, technology, and data architecture.
• Support development of the digital plant strategy and data architecture.
• Lead data flow mapping and digital use case development.
• Contribute to implementation of site data infrastructure (e.g., AVEVA PI, data platform).
• Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery meets business and regulatory needs.
