Job summary

E Tech Group in the Bay Area seeks a seasoned controls engineer to design, implement, and optimize PLC/SCADA solutions for life sciences and critical industries. You will work on multiple platforms, collaborate with customers, and contribute to regulated environments.

Requires a BS in engineering and 3+ years of hands-on control systems experience with Rockwell, DeltaV, and Ignition; strong communication and teamwork; willingness to travel to sites.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or related field required with at least 3 years of experience.
• Strong troubleshooting of control systems and process controls.
• Experience with Rockwell, DeltaV, Ignition, and PLC/SCADA tools.

Responsibilities

• Configure PLC and SCADA platforms for controls systems.
• Provide design and development for systems of varying complexity.
• Develop and evaluate alternative system solutions meeting requirements.
• Modify program logic across multiple subsystems and systems.
• Interact with customers to understand business needs.
• Support scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned work.
• Work in a team with emphasis on customer service and continuous improvement.
• Visit local sites and document engineering work in regulated environments.

You will:

• Configure several programming platforms for PLC Controls and SCADA systems
• Provide application/control systems design and development for systems of varying complexity
• Develop and evaluate alternative system solutions that meet stated requirements
• Modify program/system logic involving multiple systems and subsystems
• Interact with customers to gain an understanding of the business environment.
• Support scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned work.
• Work successfully in a team environment; focused strongly on customer service and continuous improvement
• Enjoy going to local sites; Appreciate the documentation and planning aspects of engineering in a regulated environment.

You have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related Engineering fields.
• 3+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education
• Proficiency in troubleshooting control systems and an understanding of process controls
• Experience delivering any or a combination of the following:
• Rockwell experience with products such as: ControlLogix, CompactLogix, PlantPAx, Factory Talk Software Suite, Studio 5000, PLC5, SLC500, RSView, PanelView Plus, etc.
• DeltaV configuration/software development
• Hands-on experience with Inductive Automation Ignition (Perspective, Vision, SQL, Tag Historian, Scripting).
• Instrumentation experience
• Ability to develop PLC and HMI programs within one or more platforms.
• Experience implementing detailed control system electrical design packages
• Working knowledge of control system networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, etc.)
• Understanding of Biopharmaceutical processes, GMP and validation
• Knowledge of S88 Batch standards and experience implementing batch systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary Range: $90-130K
