Job summary

Graham Personnel Services, based in El Paso, TX, seeks an Automation Associate to procure and maintain automation systems across manufacturing facilities. You will assist with design, oversee installation, and qualify new automation to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities include coordinating with outside suppliers, generating specifications, approving designs, and managing construction timelines to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of work experience.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
• Responsible for purchasing and design of automation.
• Responsible for generating cost-saving opportunities related to automation and presenting these opportunities to management on a regular basis.
• Maintains and improves all existing automation machines in the division.
• Coordinates automation activities with outside suppliers.
• Generates specifications for new automation machines.
• Approves designs of new automation machines.
• Manages construction timelines to meet production schedule needs for new automation machines.
• Responsible for procurement of purchase orders for automation projects at suppliers.
• Assists in production start-ups related to automation machines.
• Assists with troubleshooting new and existing automation machines.
• Oversees each division’s continual improvement of automation machines.
• Assists other divisions with various automation projects as needed.
• Required to use a handheld propane torch on the production floor.

• Collaborate with suppliers to meet project timelines and cost targets.
• Troubleshoot and maintain automation equipment for uptime.
