Job summary

Timber Products Michigan in Munising, MI, is seeking an Electronics Technician to install, set up, test and adjust manufacturing equipment using electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or computer technologies. The role includes maintaining software and PLC ladder logic across mills and identifying automation improvements.

The ideal candidate has a 2-year associate’s degree in Electronics or similar, plus three years of related experience or training.

Qualifications

• 2-year associate’s degree in Electronics or similar degree.
• Three years’ experience and/or training in electronics or computer technology; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
• Proficient in GE or Allen Bradley PLC ladder logic; able to perform electrical work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Install, set up, test, and adjust manufacturing machinery or equipment using electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or computer technologies.
• Maintain, install, and/or change software programs and PLC ladder logic throughout the mills.
• Identify areas for automation improvements and provide ideas/specifications for implementation; troubleshoot and repair equipment; determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
