Job summary

Sazerac Company, including Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, KY, seeks an Controls/Electrical Engineer to lead maintenance and automation initiatives. The role focuses on uptime, safety, and reliability across the distillery while guiding a team of technicians and coordinating with plant engineering.

Responsibilities include developing automation plans, standardizing control platforms, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental policies in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Engineering or related degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years relevant experience (minimum).
• 3 years hands on electrical experience, Allen Bradley PLC programming and hardware experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a production automation plan for BTD across the distillery.
• Develop a uniform PLC/HMI platform for all PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
• Train and supervise 3–5 Electrical/Instrumentation technicians.
