Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data workflow engineer to create and enhance end-to-end simulation data workflows. You will automate data generation, storage, and analysis, ensuring traceability and quality across complex engineering datasets.

In this role, you will leverage GitHub, GitHub Actions, Databricks, and SQL-based tools to deliver repeatable, scalable pipelines and partner with simulation engineers to drive data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required.
• 5+ years experience supporting CAE, simulation, or engineering data workflows.
• Experience in workflow automation, data processing, or tool development for engineering teams.
• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling, and scripting for workflow automation and data analysis.
• Experience with Databricks, SQL, and structured data management.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and improve workflows for simulation data generation, storage, traceability, analysis, and reuse.
• Build automation pipelines for simulation execution, post-processing, reporting, and data quality checks.
• Use GitHub, GitHub Actions, Databricks, and SQL-based tools to manage datasets and automate workflows.
• Partner with simulation engineers and cross-functional teams to connect models, data, and analysis into end-to-end workflows.
• Standardize data structures, metadata, documentation, and best practices to improve speed and reliability.
• Drive cultural change toward data-driven, automated simulation workflows through example implementations, training, and ongoing guidance.
