Job summary

MiTek in United States is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze, and test automated industrial machinery. You will work with engineering, product management, manufacturing, and customers to bring automation to life and improve production output in the component manufacturing sector.

The role involves designing and validating mechanical architectures, performing calculations and FEAs, and ensuring compliance with MiTek procedures and regulations across lifecycle stages.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Up to 2 years related experience required.
• Basic understanding of strength of materials, statics, and dynamics.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education may substitute on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, evaluate, and support automated industrial machinery products with focus in CM and off-site construction.
• Participate in planning, development, and deployment of mechanical architectures with integrated automation.
• Generate mechanical project execution artifacts (cost estimates, schedules, resources, risks, forecasts, status).
• Participate in staged-gating processes (requirements reviews, design reviews, test readiness reviews, verification reviews).
• Complete simple troubleshooting and root-cause/corrective actions.
• Design, integrate, test mechanical parts and assemblies using industry best practices.
• Design, integrate, test industrial pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Design, integrate, test electro‑mechanical and robotic systems.
• Develop and/or maintain project documentation (system requirements, drawings, manuals, test plans, notes).
• Ensure compliance with MiTek engineering procedures, guidelines, and gov regulations.
• Perform engineering analysis and calculations including FEA where applicable.
• Enter/update data in MRP/ERP system.
• Support Manufacturing, Marketing & Sales, Purchasing, Installation, and Customer Service throughout lifecycle.
• Review industry trends and emerging technologies.
