Job summary

BusPatrol America LLC in Austin, TX seeks an Automation Developer to advance our automation strategy using Power Platform, API integration, OCR, and scripting. You will create scalable automation that reduces manual effort, improves reliability, and moves us toward enterprise-level automation.

Responsibilities include building cloud flows and apps, API-driven workflows, OCR pipelines with Azure AI, and RPA/browser automation using Playwright and JavaScript/Python.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–7 years of automation development experience.
  • Experience with Power Automate cloud and Power Apps UI/UX development.
  • Experience designing workflows within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Experience with API integration, JSON, and system-to-system automation.
  • Proficient scripting in Python or JavaScript.
  • Experience with OCR/Azure AI and document processing workflows.
  • Strong troubleshooting and governance skills.

Automation Developer

Location: Austin Texas

Position Summary

The Automation Developer supports the design, build, and expansion of the department’s automation strategy through Power Platform technologies, API integration, scripting, OCR, and workflow modernization. This role is responsible for developing scalable solutions that reduce manual effort, improve operational reliability, and move the organization from desktop-based automation to enterprise-level automation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Power Automate cloud flows, Power Apps, and related automation solutions that support critical operational workflows. Design and manage reusable child-flow infrastructure.

  • Design API-driven and unattended workflows that reduce employee-triggered processing, workstation dependency, and manual intervention. Develop and integrate AI-powered connectors where appropriate.

  • Build and manage automation frameworks for document generation, template administration, and print-job orchestration.

  • Own and expand OCR-enabled document-processing capabilities to improve inbound-mail classification, routing, and processing accuracy. Use Azure AI Document Intelligence, formerly Azure Form Recognizer, to develop OCR pipelines for inbound mail and citation documents.

  • Develop and support browser-based and RPA solutions using Playwright, Python, JavaScript, JSON, and related technologies as needed.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve automation reliability, governance, recoverability, maintainability, and supportability.

  • Partner with business and operational teams to translate policy and process requirements into scalable, secure, and supportable automation solutions.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience with automation development
  • Experience with Power Automate (Cloud and Power Apps development (UI/UX).
  • Experience designing workflow automation solutions within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Experience with API integration/development, JSON, and system-to-system automation design.
  • Working knowledge of Python or JavaScript for scripting and process automation.
  • Experience with OCR/Azure AI, document processing, or intelligent document handling workflows.
  • Strong troubleshooting, workflow design, governance, and solution documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage, develop, and stabilize workflows in a fast-paced operational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Power BI, SharePoint, and automated document generation.
  • Experience supporting print automation or Adobe InDesign-based workflow processes.
  • Experience with RPA, browser automation, or environments with limited API access.
