Job summary

Bachem Holding AG is seeking an Automation Engineer/Project Engineer to enhance their Digital Manufacturing and Data Lab. This role is essential for building and operating digital manufacturing solutions, emphasizing process automation and simulation.

Qualifications

• University degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Hands‑on experience with process control systems, ideally Siemens PCS7, WinCC, and Simatic Batch.
• Solid understanding of automation hardware, PLCs, controllers, and field instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the Digital Manufacturing & Data Lab infrastructure.
• Develop and support Siemens PCS7 systems for lab environments.
• Participate in automation and digitalization projects from requirements gathering to implementation.

Skills

Hands-on experience with process control systems

Solid understanding of automation hardware

Practical knowledge of IT/OT infrastructure

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to translate user needs into technical solutions
