Job summary

Coulter Services is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to support manufacturing operations by installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical control systems and automation equipment.

You will install and service control panels, troubleshoot using PLCs, drives, sensors, and HMIs, and diagnose issues to minimize downtime while performing preventive maintenance and following electrical schematics. A strong emphasis on teamwork and safety drives daily work.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with PLCs, drives, sensors, and HMI systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electrical/controls equipment.
• Ability to interpret and update schematics and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and safe work procedures.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain control panels and automation equipment for production lines.
• Troubleshoot electrical and automation issues using PLCs, drives, sensors, and HMIs.
• Diagnose equipment problems and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on electrical/control systems.
• Read, update, and follow electrical schematics and documentation.
• Support process improvements and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams in a safety-first environment.
