Job summary
AISIN Manufacturing Illinois (AMI) is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Automation & Controls to maintain, troubleshoot, program, and improve advanced manufacturing equipment and facility systems. The role emphasizes automation, PLC-based control systems, robotics support, industrial networking, and data-driven troubleshooting.

Qualifications
- Associate degree in Automation, Mechatronics, or related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
- PLC troubleshooting and programming experience required.
- Experience with automation systems in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily maintenance and preventive/corrective tasks on automated equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery including I/O, sensors, drives, and safety devices.
- Modify, test, and validate PLC logic, HMI screens, and control parameters.
- Diagnose issues with VFDs, servos, encoders, vision systems, and safety PLCs.
- Support robotic systems and industrial networks.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and automation upgrades.
- Analyze machine performance data to identify root causes and countermeasures.
- Document maintenance activities and programming changes.
- Communicate equipment status and actions to leadership and teams.
