Job summary

Ilocatum is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to design and support manufacturing automation across multiple facilities. You will develop controls, HMIs, and industrial networks, and travel to sites for project work and start-ups.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, troubleshoot alongside site technicians, and contribute to ongoing improvements in electrical and automation systems. A strong background in Rockwell PLCs and industrial networking is essential.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of industrial automation programming.
• Strong electrical concepts and theory knowledge.
• Experience with WAN/LAN networks in plant environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities in automation systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including procedures and reports.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Valid driver's license and travel readiness (air travel).

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and maintain manufacturing equipment controls, HMIs, and industrial networks.
• Support automation projects under supervision of senior engineers and integrators.
• Travel to facilities to support project work and start-ups.
• Collaborate with site controls technicians on troubleshooting and training.
• Assist plant operations with electrical and automation needs.
• Create clear automation instructions for maintenance teams.
• Work with plant operations to improve system architecture and output.

Job Type: Full-time

Travel: Required to company facilities for projects and start-ups

Pay: $90,000 to $110,000 per year

Design and support the automation systems that keep manufacturing running, working on projects and start-ups across multiple facilities.
