Intralox is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering Group in Harahan, LA. You will design, develop, and deploy scalable automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and control panels, while collaborating across disciplines to deliver reliable, high‑quality manufacturing solutions.

The role emphasizes robotics integration, vision and AI‑based QC, and continuous learning in a cross‑functional team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, CS, or 5+ years in control systems design.
• 5+ years in an automation controls role.
• Proficiency with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
• Experience with HMI/SCADA, robotics, and vision systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement control systems with PLCs, HMIs, and panels.
• Develop well-structured, maintainable code for automation.
• Design reliable safety systems for safeguarding hazards.
• Create intuitive operator touchscreen interfaces.
• Integrate robotics to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
• Incorporate vision sensing for QC and inspection tasks.
