Job summary

Adient US LLC in Riverside, MO is seeking an entry to mid‑level controls engineer to develop, maintain, and support automation control systems used in automotive seating and overhead systems.

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of experience in controls or automation.
  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with Allen‑Bradley PLC platforms, Studio 5000 software, ControlLogix systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting, programming, and diagnosing PLC systems.
  • Able to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, program, and diagnose PLC systems.
  • Troubleshoot PLC ladder logic and data handling functions in ControlLogix processors.
  • Support modifications and improvements to PLC programs.
  • Maintain PLC documentation received from equipment suppliers.
  • Maintain backups and archives of PLC programs.
  • Support and troubleshoot I/O devices connected to PLCs, including HMIs, scanners, Remote I/O, sensors, relays, solenoids.
  • Apply basic electronic and instrumentation principles to diagnose and restore equipment operation.
  • Support the Maintenance Department with equipment troubleshooting.
  • Assist in troubleshooting pneumatic circuits and automation-related equipment issues.
