Job summary

Verus is seeking a self-motivated Automation / Controls Engineer to join our collaborative team in Sparks, NV. You will develop SCADA, HMI, and PLC programs, design control panels, and specify instrumentation to meet client requirements while traveling domestically and internationally.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, hands-on PLC/HMI programming, and a track record of delivering projects on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
• 5+ years’ applicable experience.
• Experience with PLC/HMI programming and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop SCADA, HMI, and PLC programs based on specifications.
• Design control panels and specify components.
• Develop system specs and sequence of operations.
• Perform system commissioning and field support.
• Mentor junior controls engineers.
• Generate and maintain project documentation.
