Job summary

The role involves on-site surveys, creating installation drawings, and transitioning documents to the field, with mentorship and engineering-standards guidance throughout.

Qualifications

• HVAC knowledge or experience in technicians, project management, or estimating is required or preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office products.
• Familiarity with operation and design of HVAC systems, Building Automation Systems, or Temperature Controls preferred.
• Experience with CAD programs and basic understanding of electrical drawings and schematics preferred.
• Ability to work in a team, stay organized, and follow a structured environment.
• Some travel to construction sites within the district to determine controls solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design commercial comfort control and automation systems with supervision.
• Review contract documents and proposals for automation system design.
• Create installation drawings and sequences of operations for efficient installation.
• Conduct on-site surveys to determine controls solutions.
• Transition documents to the field and ensure as-built drawings and manuals are completed.
• Follow established engineering standards and mentor guidance.
