Job summary

Piston Automotive, part of the Piston Group family, seeks a Plant Controls Engineer to optimize and troubleshoot control systems supporting production. You will analyze PLC data, lead root-cause investigations, and improve automation processes to prevent downtime while ensuring safety and efficiency on the plant floor.

Responsibilities include implementing documentation for process changes, coordinating with vendors, and mentoring maintenance staff to strengthen the team.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, experience considered in lieu of a degree.
• At least 2 years as a Controls Engineer or Maintenance Technician.
• Experience with maintaining robots in production processes and industrial automation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize machine performance using PLC data.
• Lead root cause analysis for systemic and intermittent issues.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement assigned projects.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs with plant management.
• Support controls-related issues to minimize downtime.
