Job summary

Actalent, a global engineering services company, seeks a Controls Engineer to design, program, install, and troubleshoot automation systems for liquid and solid separation equipment. You will work on PLC/HMI projects, upgrades, and field support, with travel to customer sites.

The role emphasizes Rockwell platforms, problem-solving, and collaboration with customers and internal teams. This is a contract-to-hire position based in Arlington, TX.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls, or process systems.
  • Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs and HMIs.
  • Knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, sensors, instrumentation, and industrial networks.
  • Proficiency with Rockwell Automation software and hardware.

Controls Engineer

Position Summary

The Controls Engineer will support the design, programming, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial automation systems for liquid and solid separation equipment. This role involves PLC/HMI programming, control system upgrades, commissioning, and field support.

Responsibilities
  • Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI control systems, primarily using Rockwell platforms.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and startup of automation and control system upgrades.

Work Environment

This role includes a combination of office-based engineering work and travel to industrial customer sites for installation, startup, and troubleshooting activities. PPE and site-specific safety requirements apply.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
