Job summary

E2i is a small systems integrator that has specialized in automation, validation, informatics, control panel design, and fabrication for the last 36 years.

You will build strong customer relationships and design, implement, and support PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for control systems, plus electrical hardware and instrumentation. The position is located in Lebanon/Indianapolis, IN, supporting a pharmaceutical client, with opportunities to assist at other sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in process control and automation.
• 3–5 years of programming, configuring, and debugging PLC/HMI/SCADA software (Rockwell, Siemens, or equivalent).
• Ability to read P&ID diagrams.
• Willingness to be on-call as needed.

• Build good relationships with customers.
• Design, implement, and support PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for control systems and equipment.
• Design, implement, and support electrical hardware systems.
• Understand manufacturing processes and process instrumentation.
• Investigate and solve complex problems.
• Demonstrate solid rapport with clients, peers, and supervisors.
• Address on‑call requests as needed.
• Be a self-starter that can work independently and in team projects.
• Maintain a minimum of 80% billable with leadership and sales assistance.

Snapshot of Position:

• Provide automation support and troubleshooting for formulation areas. Assist in the implementation of change controls for process improvements and bug fixes as needed

Location:

• Primary Location: Lebanon/Indianapolis, IN, supporting a pharmaceutical client with the possibility to support clients at other locations

Your Role’s Responsibilities:

What You Need for this Position:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering field
• 3-5 years of experience in process control and automation
• 3-5 years of experience in programming/developing/configuring PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA software for control systems (experience with Rockwell, FactoryTalk View SE/ME; iFix, DeltaV, PlantPAx, PCS7, Siemens, or Wonderware is a plus)
• Ability to support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• Ability to read piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
• Ability to address on-call requests as needed
