Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Automation Cloud Systems Engineer - SME to support the FAA BNATCS program in Herndon, VA. You will design, integrate, and analyze complex cloud-enabled systems for national airspace safety, collaborating with radar and surveillance tech professionals.

This role requires performing lifecycle systems engineering, driving cloud concept development, and delivering clear technical communication to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience or advanced degrees with related experience.
• Experience in cloud requirements development, design, integration, and V&V.
• Experience conducting trade studies, system analyses, and performance evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end systems engineering across the full lifecycle: requirements, design, integration, verification, and validation.
• Drive the development of cloud concepts, architectures, trade studies, and system analyses to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure objectives are achieved and requirements are met.
• Prepare and deliver technical documentation, reports, and presentations to clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
• Contribute to trade studies and analyses under the mentorship of senior engineers.
• Participate in system-level reviews and provide hands-on support for integration and testing activities.
