Job summary

Lincoln Electric, a leader in industrial machinery and welding technology, seeks an Assembly Proposal Engineer. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, this role shapes innovative automation concepts for North American manufacturers, guiding concepts from early stages to production systems.

You will work with cross-functional teams, develop technical and commercial proposals, and leverage CAD tools to craft compelling solutions for RFQs and customer meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of engineering, proposal, or automation experience.
• Experience developing technical proposals and customer-facing presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative assembly process concepts, layouts, and cycle time analyses.
• Utilize Inventor and AutoCAD to create tooling concepts and manufacturing layouts.
• Lead development of technical and commercial proposals in response to RFQs, RFIs, and engineering changes.
• Analyze customer specifications and determine optimal manufacturing solutions.
• Create project scopes, conceptual designs, cost estimates, and commercial proposals.
• Participate in customer meetings, RFQ reviews, and technical presentations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Controls, Sales, and Project Management teams.
• Evaluate production risks and develop creative technical solutions.
