Think Consulting in Grand Rapids seeks an analytics professional who builds automation, not just documents. You’ll inherit an active RPA portfolio while running discovery sessions to surface exceptions and edge cases with users.

You’ll write requirements, own reliability, and guide change management to turn processes into automated, measurable gains. Strong AI tooling, REST APIs, and scripting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• You build, not just document. Point to automations, tools, scripts, or workflows that exist and are used.
• Serious hands-on AI tooling experience. You work regularly in tools like Claude, Cursor, or Codex to write and debug real working code.
• You can run a discovery session, elicit requirements from someone who's never written one, and turn a vague complaint into a defined problem with a number attached.
• Technical fluency. REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, SQL, and scripting in Python or JavaScript.
• You automate your own work. You've built the script, the macro, the workflow to save time and more.
• Genuine curiosity about how work gets done. Insight often comes from watching someone's screen.
• Willingness to maintain, not just build. Year one involves understanding and improving existing work.
• Systems thinking about people. You can discuss finance processes and get buy-in for changes.

Responsibilities

• Interview and observe the humans doing the work; run discovery sessions and surface edge cases.
• Build the automations: workflows, RPA, scripts, integrations, and AI-assisted steps.
• Turn discovery output into a quantified backlog: costs today, costs to fix, ROI.
• Own existing RPA portfolio: fix brittle bots, document undocumented ones, retire obsolete.
• Write requirements: user stories, acceptance criteria, exception paths, failure modes.
• Own reliability for what you ship: monitoring, error handling, runbooks.
• Manage change: train affected teams and ensure processes stick.
• Measure shipped results against promises and report honestly.
