Job summary

Eberhard Manufacturing seeks an Automatic Press Operator to support our precision stamping operations in Ohio. You will set up, operate, and tear down presses, adjust settings for accuracy, and perform first piece inspections to ensure quality.

Responsibilities include data recording for inventory, monitoring wear, ensuring safety procedures, and complying with ISO requirements. Regular attendance and mechanical aptitude are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years’ press experience.
• Regular attendance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Basic Math skills.
• Ability to set safety device such as Light Curtains and Pull Backs.
• Familiarity with PLS Controls and Servo Feeds.
• Knowledge of how to read part prints.
• Complete background in press working including: Single and Continuous strokes, Emergency Stops, Die Protection, PLS, Ram Adjustments, Die Clamping, Pilot Releases, Cradle Functions, Selection of Materials and Safety Procedures.
• Knowledge of basic tools including: Micrometers Calipers, and other precision measuring tools

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tear down Automatic (75-400 ton) and Secondary Presses (22-95 ton).
• Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks per specification to run job orders accurately and maximize productivity.
• Perform first piece quality inspection.
• Record all data needed for inventory control including: good parts, scrap, and other data as necessary.
• Monitor and notify supervisors of machine wear or damage for preventative maintenance.
• Comply with work scopes instructions.
• Meet established production criteria.
• Troubleshoot and make needed adjustments to equipment for problem resolution.
• Perform rework or sorting as required.
• Maintain safe operations be adhering to safety procedures, regulations and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Utilize and abide by ISO requirements.
