Job summary

dormakaba Americas is seeking a Field Service Technician based in State College, PA to install and service a range of doors, equipment, and control devices. The role offers an hourly wage with overtime, a competitive benefits package, and a $3,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates with AAADM certification.

You will install and maintain dor​makaba Automatic Access Solutions in commercial settings, lead installations where needed, and ensure accurate documentation and stock management on each

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Mechanical knowledge with 2+ years experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Lift and carry at least 50 pounds (35 pounds overhead).
• Frequent standing, stooping, crawling, twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing.

• Perform corrective service and preventive maintenance on a range of automated access doors and equipment.
• Serve as the lead installer in moderately complex automatic door installations.
• Maintain accurate project and/or service data with documentation and technical data.
• Manage assigned parts and consumables, keep vehicle and workspace organized.

Job description

Position Overview

dormakaba seeks a Field Service Technician based in State College, PA. This position will be responsible for the install and service of a variety of doors, equipment, and control devices. HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $20/hr - $40/hr plus mandatory overtime, as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $3,000 Sign-on Bonus (eligible for candidates with a current AAADM certification)

What You Will Do

• Install dormakaba Automatic Access Solutions equipment in commercial buildings
• Perform corrective service and preventative maintenance on a range of automated access doors and equipment in a professional and customer-oriented manner
• Serve as the lead installer in moderately complex automatic door installations
• Maintain accurate project and/or service data through diligent and timely use of all documentation and technical data
• Manage assigned parts and consumable stocks effectively, and maintain a neat and organized vehicle and workspace

What We Require

• Valid current driver's license
• Mechanical knowledge, 2+ years of relevant experience
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds; 35 pounds over the shoulder. Ability to perform frequent standing, stooping, crawling, twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing and working overhead
