Nashville Door is seeking an Automatic Door Technician to diagnose, repair, and install commercial doors and entrance systems in field assignments. You will partner with a team to ensure facilities stay open and secure, while delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates bring 2+ years of door installation/servicing, mechanical and low-voltage diagnostic skills, and a current AAADM certification. Overtime, weekends, and on-call work are required.

Competenze

• 2+ years installing or servicing automatic and manual commercial doors.
• Able to diagnose mechanical and low-voltage electrical issues.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and rotating on-call schedule.
• Lift up to 75 lbs and work on feet in varying environments.
• Driver's license with clean record; pass background check and drug screen.
• Current AAADM Certification.

Mansioni

• Service, repair, and install automatic doors, manual storefronts, revolving doors, and related products on-site.
• Meet with customers to review scope, findings, and preventive recommendations.
• Complete dispatches, work orders, notes and time logs accurately; submit paperwork promptly.
• Manage parts and materials on your service vehicle and maintain a clean, safe worksite.

Role Summary

As a Door Technician you’ll be the face of Nashville Door in the field - diagnosing, repairing, and installing commercial door and entrance systems while embodying our Core Values. You’ll partner with our team to make sure each facility manager can “set it and forget it” when it comes to their doors.

Key Responsibilities

• Service & Install: Repair, install, and maintain automatic doors, manual storefronts, revolving, and other entrance products on-site.
• Customer Communication: Meet with customers before and after work to review scope, findings, and preventive recommendations.
• Workflow & Documentation: Complete dispatches, work orders, notes and time logs accurately in electronic notes; submit parts requests and paperwork promptly.
• Inventory Care: Manage parts and materials on your assigned service vehicle and keep a clean, safe jobsite.
• Safety & Quality: Follow OSHA, AAADM, and company safety standards; ensure every door leaves operating to code.

What You'll Bring

• Experience: At least 2+ year installing or servicing automatic and manual commercial doors OR related trades
• Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable with hand/power tools; able to diagnose mechanical and low-voltage electrical issues.
• Work Ethic: Willing to work overtime, occasional weekends, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
• Physical Requirements: Lift 75 lbs, climb ladders, and work on your feet in varying environments.
• Credentials: High-school diploma/GED; valid driver’s license with clean record; ability to pass background check and drug screen.
