Job summary

Piedmont Door Solutions in the United States is seeking an Automatic Door Repair and Install Technician for our Columbia, SC area. You will repair, maintain, and install doors in commercial buildings, hospitals, stores, and more, using power and hand tools.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 75+ pounds. Training is provided and opportunities to grow within a hands-on, customer-focused team.

Qualifications

• Must possess an unrestricted and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with power tools and hand tools; carpentry/electric/military/HVAC experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, climb for long periods; lift 75+ pounds; work at heights with a ladder.
• Background check and drug screen required; vaccinations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain doors, turnstiles, revolving doors, and other entrance or security products.
• Proactively assist in projects, demonstrating autonomy in a high-expectation, low-supervision environment.
• Learn techniques from your trainer and grow your existing skills.
• Maintain a clean, organized, professional worksite and solve customer problems.
• Work with office staff to order and track parts, materials, and time spent on services.
