Job summary

RPMGlobal in China Lake, CA is seeking a Software Test Engineer to lead automated testing and quality assurance for web applications. You will apply white-box, grey-box, and black-box testing techniques and help drive the adoption of Test-Driven Development with the development team.

Responsibilities include building and maintaining automated tests with Playwright, translating user stories into coverage, analyzing code and databases, and supporting CI/CD and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required due to customer-related requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience in software testing, QA, or development.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Experience with Playwright, Tosca, UFT, or Selenium.
• Experience with TDD and automated testing for web applications.
• Understanding of black-box, white-box, grey-box, and unit testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Agile methods (Scrum/SAFe).
• Strong communication and stakeholder services skills.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Apply modern testing methodologies (white-box, grey-box, black-box, unit testing).
• Support the adoption of Test-Driven Development with the development team.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated tests and frameworks (Playwright).
• Translate manual scenarios into automated coverage and end-to-end scripts.
• Analyze code, databases, and logic to support testing.
• Set up and maintain automated testing environments.
• Support training and knowledge sharing on test automation and TDD.
• Support Agile practices and DevOps activities.
• Document test cases, results, defects, and quality artifacts clearly.
