Job summary

Carrier's Automated Logic division seeks a Field Engineer in Canton, MA to own turn-key delivery of DDC systems, including installation, commissioning and troubleshooting. Travel as needed and lead junior techs while coordinating with PMs for safe, high-quality outcomes.

You will apply ASHRAE guidelines, document commissioning logs, and mentor field staff to deliver reliable building automation solutions for complex environments across customers.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience in Building Automation or HVAC.
  • Must possess a valid, current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as squatting and climbing for extended periods.
  • Capable of working over 8 feet above grade and proficient in the use of ladders and motorized lift equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Turn-Key Delivery: Own the install, commissioning, and troubleshooting of DDC systems. Deliver full software solutions, including sequencing, graphics, and alarms.
  • Technical Leadership: Act as the lead resource and mentor for junior techs. Serve as a trusted advisor to customers.
  • Risk & Coordination: Partner with Project Managers to manage risk and align execution. Coordinate with teams for clear communication.
  • Travel & Flexibility: Travel as needed and stay adaptable to shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency & Growth: Demonstrate deep proficiency with ALC products, system architectures, and ASHRAE guidelines.
  • Project Integrity: Maintain expert-level documentation, including commissioning logs and progress tracking.
