Job Description

We are hiring a NIGHT SHIFT mechanic. The permanent shift will be 6 pm to 6 am, with the first few months on day shift. Employees typically work 36 hours one week (3 12-hour shifts) and 48 hours the next (4 12-hour shifts).

Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repair of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on production equipment and building infrastructure.
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs, identify discrepancies, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Reduce downtime and scrap, improve quality and processing methods, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Complete reports, logs, and documentation of shift activities.
  • Provide training to staff and troubleshoot technical issues across plant areas.
  • Follow safety, environmental guidelines, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Communicate effectively with departments to ensure maintenance efficiency.
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings and use test equipment for repairs.
  • Fabricate and machine parts using various tools and techniques.
  • Assist with administrative duties like ordering materials, scheduling, and project management.

Work Environment
