Qualifications

• Must have unrestricted valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Comfort using power tools and hand tools; prior carpentry, electrical, military, HVAC, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, and climb for long periods in non-climate-controlled environments; lift 75+ pounds; work at heights with a ladder.
• Background check and drug screen required; vaccinations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain doors, turnstiles, revolving doors, and other entrance or security products.
• Proactively assist in projects and drive successful outcomes with minimal supervision.
• Learn techniques from trainers and apply them to improve workmanship.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite and communicate effectively with customers.
• Coordinate with the office to order parts, track materials, and log time spent on service calls.

Piedmont Door Solutions is looking for an Automatic Door Repair and Install Technician for our Houston, TX branch to support the surrounding area. Our technicians repair, maintain, and install doors on location in commercial buildings, hospitals, stores, and more. We’re looking for someone with a background in residential or commercial doors, garage doors, construction, military, electrical work, fabrication, access control, glazing, carpentry, mechanical, installing or servicing products, or any other skilled trade. Piedmont Door Solutions provides the necessary training, tools, equipment, and vehicles.

• Learn to be a Piedmont Door Technician: Install, repair, and maintain doors, turnstiles, revolving doors, and other entrance or security products
• Take initiative: Proactively assist in projects, demonstrating autonomy in a high-expectation, low-supervision environment to drive project success.
• Learn and adapt: Embrace the opportunity to learn techniques from your trainer, building on existing skills and showing a desire to grow.
• Maintain professional worksite: Ensure a clean, organized, and professional worksite, paying attention to detail, taking pride in workmanship, and solving problems for customers.
• Work with office staff: Order and track parts, materials, and time spent on services.

You've Got What It Takes If You Have...

LOCATION

Piedmont Door Solutions has businesses and role openings in Charlotte, Greensboro, and Raleigh, NC; Columbia, SC; Atlanta, GA; Birmingham, AL; Lake Worth, FL; and Dallas and Houston, TX. Depending on which location you choose, you may have to drive up to 2 hours to job sites.
