Job summary

Precision Components is seeking a dependable blast technician to load and unload parts, operate blast equipment, and ensure surfaces meet finish specs. You will adjust cycle times and media flow, maintain unit media levels, and keep records accurate before moving parts to the paint department.

The role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and reliability, with a Monday–Friday shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm.

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Attention to detail with a strong safety mindset.
• Dependable, punctual, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts into blast units manually or with a forklift.
• Operate blast system to remove scale, rust and paint from metal parts.
• Adjust machine settings for cycle time or abrasive flow rate.
• Maintain media fill levels and inspect surfaces post-blast for quality.
• Document production records accurately and move parts to paint.
• Perform routine maintenance and keep work area clean.

• Keep units at the proper media fill levels.
• Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure they meet quality and finish specifications.
• Accurately complete production records.
• Move parts after blasting to the paint department for coating.
• Perform daily and routine preventative maintenance. Help with other maintenance tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Attention to detail.
• Must exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety.
• Must be dependable and report to work on time.
