Job summary

SAGE Integration is seeking a CAD Engineer to create, revise, and maintain electronic drawings for integrated security systems. You will translate field notes into precise CAD files and ensure designs meet quality standards for building infrastructure and security hardware.

In this role you will design electrical infrastructure, review technical documentation, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Drafting, Design, or related Technology field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a CAD-related position.
• Knowledge of drafting standards and conventions; familiarity with electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed CAD drawings of complex integrated security systems.
• Design and implement electrical infrastructure for security systems.
• Translate hand sketches and field notes into CAD files.
• Redesign drawings based on markups and updated specs.
• Review technical docs, blueprints, and designs.
• Maintain records of all drawings and changes.
• Ensure drawings comply with drafting standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff.
• Visit job sites for validation.
• Support compliance with regulations and procedures.
• Develop layouts and schematics using AutoCAD and Visio.
