Job summary

KEITH is looking for an AutoCAD Technician for our Pompano Beach, FL office. This role involves assisting in the preparation and updating of engineering drawings using AutoCAD, supporting civil engineering staff with drafting tasks, and learning company CAD standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in civil engineering design, possess basic AutoCAD knowledge, and demonstrate good communication skills within a team. A degree or technical certification in CAD Drafting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and updating of engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Support design staff with drafting tasks for civil engineering, land development, utility, and infrastructure projects
• Make revisions to drawings based on redlines and feedback from engineers and project managers
• Assist with organizing and maintaining electronic project files and CAD libraries
• Help incorporate field data, sketches, and markups into CAD drawings under supervision
• Provide general drafting support to engineering and design teams as needed
• Learn and apply company CAD standards and drafting best practices through on-the-job training

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is required
• Exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D is required; willingness to learn and improve skills is essential
• Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong interest in civil engineering drafting and design
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering sketches and markups
• Basic PC skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office and CAD software
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude in a team environment
• Ability to take direction, ask questions, and manage assigned tasks

  Qualifications

  • Internship, coursework, or limited professional experience in CAD is a plus
