Friday Workforce Solutions is seeking a CAD Design Technician for orthotics in the greater Asheville area. The role involves creating and modifying patient-specific orthotic designs from 3D scans using CAD software and working closely with clinical and production teams.

Training will be provided, no prior orthotics experience required. On-site, full-time position with contract-to-hire after 640 hours, offering growth in a medical device environment.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM

Full-Time. Contract-to-hire after 640 hours.

Are you skilled in CAD design and ready to learn something new? Our client, a leading medical device manufacturer in the greater Asheville area, is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Design Technician to create and modify patient-specific orthotic designs using 3D scans and specialized software.

No prior orthotics experience is required. Training will be provided!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Create and modify patient-specific orthotic designs using 3D scans
• Make CAD adjustments based on instructions from clinical and production teams
• Prepare digital files for carving and 3D printing
• Review designs for accuracy and completeness before production
• Assist with production machines and 3D printers
• Communicate with team members to clarify design and production needs
• Follow established software workflows, production procedures, and quality standards

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Hands-on experience with Autodesk Fusion 360 is required
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow specific design instructions
• Comfortable learning new software and technical processes
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to perform both computer-based design work and hands-on production support

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• 3D scanning, CNC/CAM, or 3D printing experience
• Experience in another CAD-based position
• Familiarity with orthotics or FitFoot360 software

Prior orthotics experience is NOT required!

Compensation may be toward the higher end of the range for candidates with strong CAD experience.
