Job summary

Kier + Wright in Sacramento, CA is seeking an Engineering Technician to create engineering design plans for public works and land development using AutoCAD Civil 3D, working from concept to final plan production. A 0–2 year track in AutoCAD/Civil 3D drafting, on-site and off-site development drawings, and basic computer/office skills are required; BlueBeam is a plus.

Some field checks and travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of AutoCAD/Civil 3D drafting experience.
• Experience drafting on-site and off-site land development drawings.
• Familiar with computer software and general office tools.
• Experience with BlueBeam is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft grading, drainage, utility, street frontage improvements and stormwater plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Collaborate with Project Lead and engineering team from concept to final plan production.
• Prepare drawings per CAD standards and project specifications.
