Job summary

Nielsen Chevrolet in Dover, NJ is seeking an Automotive Technician to repair vehicles for our customers. The role requires experience with diverse auto body issues, strong reliability, and teamwork to add value to the shop.

Responsibilities include panel replacement, A/C recharge, diagnostic procedures, and maintaining clear paperwork. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, and ASE certification is desirable; 3+ years of technician experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Willingness to participate in in-house training.

[NIELSEN CHEVROLET is looking to add a new Automotive Technician to their team. This person will be accountable for repairing vehicles for our loyal customers.

The ideal candidate will have previous automotive experience working with a variety of auto body mishaps, be a reliable employee, exhibit teamwork, and add value to our organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs – Tasks includes panel replacement ie door skins, rad support replacement, fenders,doors,hoods,bumpers ect. air conditioner re-charges, and headlight/taillight installations.bondo plastic repair.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures – Includes extensive diagnostic inventory to determine the sources of customer's problems and provide accurate repair recommendations.
• Manage paperwork – Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and our records.
• Maintain cleanliness - Ensure the work environment is clean and safe to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• An ASE certification from a trade or technical school in automotive or engineering is desirable for this position.
• 3+ years of service technician experience
