Job summary

Chilton Auto Body in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking experienced Auto Collision Journey Level Body Techs and Tear Down Disassembly/Reassembly Techs. You will inspect vehicles, disassemble and reassemble parts, and weld using MIG and spot welders to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.

Applicants should have 3+ years in automotive collision, be detail oriented, provide basic tools, and be eligible to work in the U.S. Background checks will be conducted.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive collision experience for A-tech level.
• Experience in disassembly and reassembly of vehicles.
• Must provide your own basic tools.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. and pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicles for collision damage and document repair time and effort.
• Tear down and re-assemble, weld with MIG and spot welders, replace panels.
• Repair frames and unibody using frame rack, straighten, grind, sand and fill repair panels.
• Follow industry standards and insurance guidelines.

Job Summary

Examine vehicles for collision-related damage and document the time and effort required to repair and refinish vehicles to pre-accident condition in accordance with industry standards and insurance company guidelines. Tear down and re-assembly of vehicles; welding with MIG and Spot resistance welders; replacing panels; straighten, grind, sand and fill repair panels; repairing frames and unibody using frame rack.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience in automotive collision necessary (3+ years for A-tech level) and must have knowledge of automotive disassembly and reassembly.
• I-CAR certifications not required, but are a plus
• Must be detail oriented, organized, and have a high standard for quality
• Must provide your own basic tools.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must agree to and pass a thorough background check.

Pay Rate: $40-45 A-Tech; $30-40 B-Tech; $18-30 C-Tech
