Job summary

Cooperative Energy Company in Iowa is seeking an Auto/Tire Technician to deliver high-quality automotive and tire services in a safe, clean, and professional shop environment, while providing friendly, dependable service to customers.

You will perform tire installation and repair, routine automotive maintenance, inspections, and other mechanical services as assigned, ensuring safety procedures are followed and tools and equipment are maintained in good condition.

Job description

The Auto/Tire Technician is responsible for providing quality automotive and tire services to customers while maintaining a safe, clean, and professional work environment. This position performs tire installation and repair, routine automotive maintenance, inspections, and other mechanical services as assigned.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, customer-focused, and willing to learn and work as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and lifting. The employee must be able to safely handle tires, tools, and automotive components and work in a shop environment.

The employee may be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

This position may involve exposure to dirt, grease, oil, automotive fluids, noise, dust, outdoor temperatures and other conditions commonly found in an automotive service environment.

Work Environment

Work is primarily performed in an automative/tire shop environment. The employee may occasionally work outdoors and may be exposed to varied weather conditions.

Employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance, follow all safety requirements, properly use personal protective equipment (PPE), and contribute to a positive team environment.
