Job summary

The Cox Automotive team in the United States is hiring an Auto Tech – General Service to learn the ins and outs of vehicle maintenance under guidance. You’ll perform light duty maintenance and gain hands-on experience across oil changes, inspections, and basic repairs.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7am–3:30pm, with comprehensive benefits, sign-on where applicable, and opportunities for growth through Cox Auto University and ASE training.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of related work experience.
• Ability to drive standard, automatic, and electric vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist as an entry-level auto tech performing light maintenance.
• Learn automaintenance concepts and practices under guidance.
• Perform oil/filter changes, inspections, and basic repairs.
• Complete battery testing, maintenance, and replacement.
• Follow safety and environmental regulations.

Hourly base pay rate is $16.63 - $24.90/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

What You’ll Do

You’ll get your hands dirty learning the ins and outs of the automotive technician field. With guidance, you’ll develop new skills to add to your growing toolbox. Other responsibilities include:

• Serve as an entry-levelauto tech performing light duty maintenance.
• Gain familiarity with automaintenance concepts andpractices.
• Perform automaintenance techduties,including oil and filter change, fuel filter change, transmission flushand vehicle inspection.
• Perform battery testing, maintenance and replacement.
• Perform various repairs includingtires,safety inspections andinterior/exteriorcomponents.
• Comply with regulations regardingrecyclables, fluids, tiresand disposable trash.
• Utilize approved vendors to obtain parts needed.

Who You Are

You love working with your hands and your mind. You’re passionate about vehicle technology and love to stay up to date on best practices in the auto world. You also have the following qualifications:

Required

• 6+ months of related work experience.
• The ability to drive standard,automatic and electricvehicles.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.

Preferred

• A high school diploma orGED.

Benefits
