Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to join our Omaha, NE team in a permanent role. You will diagnose and repair engines, perform rebuilds, and ensure comprehensive testing of completed work. Expect a dynamic shop with modern equipment and flexible shifts in a large dealership environment.

The position requires 2+ years in a GM dealership, strong engine and diagnostic capabilities, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. Onsite work with competitive pay and benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of GM dealership experience preferred.
• Strong engine repair and transmission expertise.
• Experience with modern engine management systems.
• Must have clean driving record and own tools.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose engine issues using scan tools, pressure gauges, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Repair or replace damaged engine components.
• Perform engine rebuilds and overhauls when necessary.
• Test and inspect completed repairs to ensure proper engine performance.
• Repair damaged or malfunctioning vehicles.
• Frequently use hand tools and power tools.
