Job summary

Sterling Auto is seeking a skilled Auto Mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles on-site in the Edgewood/Milton area. You will troubleshoot issues and work toward maximum reliability, requiring strong problem-solving and hands-on dexterity.

Candidate should have 4+ years of experience, a clean driving record, and ASE certification is a plus. You will join a team and use standard shop tools to diagnose, repair, and test-drive vehicles to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as auto mechanic.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles.
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.

Responsibilities

• Address customer concerns listed on work order.
• Diagnose concerns using correct/complete procedures
• Provide notes on back of work order of diagnostic procedure and end result.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Test drive all jobs before and after if possible.
• Report any additional work needed on work order so service advisor can sell and or reschedule.
• Be well versed with all data and identifix.
• Work 8:00 to 5:00 Monday thru Friday.
• Work as team player. One team on direction.
• Own and maintain a professional level tool box as well as sufficient tool inventory to perform.
• Must have clean driving record.
• Experience at least 4 years prefer 5 years or more.
