Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs and Blackboard for online/hybrid instruction.
• Experience teaching automotive technology or related field preferred.
• Prior college-level teaching experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and supervise diverse student groups in classroom settings at various times and locations.
• Prepare and utilize course syllabi and assessments following institutional guidelines.
• Deliver instruction using a variety of teaching methods and learning resources; engage students.
• Assist in student recruitment and retention and advise on academic matters.
• Assess student performance and communicate progress in a timely manner.
• Maintain professional relationships with students and college staff; participate in college committees as needed.
• Adhere to Alvin College policies and participate in professional development activities.
