Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Crystal Lake, IL is seeking a Porter to support high-quality vehicle repairs by maintaining vehicle cleanliness and the shop, office, and lot areas. Responsibilities include pre-washing vehicles, interior and exterior cleanup after repairs, and transporting vehicles to sublet locations as needed.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED preferred, the ability to multitask, and prior automotive experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused approach to interactions with customers and team members.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Basic understanding of vehicle cleanliness and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of office interior including garbage, floors, and countertops.
• Keep production area clean, dispose of waste, and organize tools and parts.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in neat condition; shovel sidewalks when needed.
• Pre-wash customer vehicles before repairs; assist with exterior/interior cleanup.
• Transport vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.
