Job summary

Sheehy Auto Stores is seeking skilled Service Technicians to diagnose and repair client and dealership vehicles, working with a team of experienced professionals. You’ll examine vehicles, discuss repairs, and provide accurate labor time estimates while upholding dealership policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One-three years of related experience and training preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Able to pass pre-employment background checks, MVR, and drug screen.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose vehicles.
• Discuss repairs with the shop foreman or service advisor.
• Communicate additional service requests to a service advisor.
• Plan work procedures in cooperation with the shop foreman.
• Provide labor time estimates to a service advisor.
• Monitor repair time and update the service advisor regularly.
• Maintain dealership policies on vehicle care and operation.
• Complete story and documentation for client repairs.
• Assist in mentoring technician trainees.
• Attend company and factory training.
• Keep current with factory technical bulletins.
• Follow federal, state, and local regulations (hazardous waste disposal).
• Keep the vehicle you are working on clean and free of grease and oil.
• Apply proper use of PPE and adhere to safety standards in the shop.
