Job summary

Hyundai of Greenville, part of the Sonic Automotive family, is seeking a Service Technician to repair and maintain vehicles to dealer and factory standards. The role requires diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and communicating with customers about findings and estimates. Training and advancement opportunities exist within a Fortune 500 company.

We offer full-time employment with benefits. Based on experience and Hyundai-specific training, compensation is $30–$40 per hour, with Sundays off

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven Service Technician experience in a dealership or similar automotive repair setting.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of automotive systems, components, and repair procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Authorized to work in the USA

Responsibilities

• Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and other vehicle issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems.
• Diagnose malfunctions and complete repairs within established timeframes.
• Collaborate with service advisors and parts to prioritize and schedule repairs.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure repairs meet industry standards.
• Communicate with customers about issues and repairs.
• Provide accurate cost estimates and timelines.
• Document diagnostic and repair activities accurately.
• Attend factory-sponsored training to stay updated on automotive technologies.
