SONS KIA is seeking a Parts Counterperson to support our busy wholesale and internet department. The role requires dealer-level experience and a customer-focused approach in a fast-paced setting.

You will manage sales processes, quotes, stock, and part lookups while delivering friendly, professional service across internal and external customers. We offer an employee and family purchase program, medical/dental insurance, a 401(k), paid vacation, and a safe family-run work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in auto parts sales preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, percentages, and totals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Communicate with customers on parts status and pricing.
• Coordinate with staff and customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Read and interpret parts catalogs when looking up parts.
• Answer phone calls, provide price quotes, and information.
• Review shop estimates to ensure correct parts and pricing.
• Provide high level service to internal and external customers.
• Pull and fill orders from stock and maintain weekly stock checks.
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock items needing attention.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and place emergency orders if needed.
• Ensure internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
• Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
