Job summary

Caliber Collision is seeking an Auto Painter Helper at the Austin – Hunters Chase Service Center to assist in preparing vehicles for painting and supporting the Auto Painter. You will perform sanding and buffing as needed and keep the paint booth and workspace organized and safe.

Qualified applicants will have 1+ year paint operations experience in a collision center, be 18+, and hold a valid driver’s license for eligibility under Caliber’s policy.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in paint operations within a collision center.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for Caliber’s insurance policy.
• Nice to have collision experience or Collision Vo-Tech certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for painting in collaboration with the Auto Painter.
• May perform sanding and buffing tasks and maintain the paint booth and workspace.
• Repair vehicles thoroughly and safely following Caliber and OEM standards using state-of-the-art equipment.

Service Center Austin - Hunters Chase JOB SUMMARY

Caliber Collision has an immediate job opening for an Auto Painter Helper to efficiently prepare vehicles for painting in cooperation with the Auto Painter to ensure efficient workflow. Duties may include sanding and buffing and maintenance of paint booth and workspace. Auto Painter Helpers will be required to repair vehicles thoroughly, safely, and profitably in accordance with Caliber and OEM standards using our state-of-the-art equipment.

REQUIREMENTS

• 1+ years of experience in paint operations within a collision center
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under Caliber’s insurance policy
• Nice to have, but not required: Previous collision experience and/or Collision Vo-Tech certification
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.

• Ability to do consistent physical activity – reach below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, and squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
• Be able to understand instructions – written and verbal
