Job summary

Caliber Collision in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an Auto Painter Helper to assist in preparing vehicles for painting and support the Auto Painter to maintain an efficient workflow.

Responsibilities include sanding, buffing, and keeping the paint booth and workspace clean, safe, and stocked while following Caliber and OEM standards using state-of-the-art equipment. This entry-level role offers hands-on training and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in paint operations within a collision center.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility for coverage under Caliber’s insurance policy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for painting in collaboration with the Auto Painter.
• Sand and buff surfaces as needed.
• Maintain the paint booth and workspace for safety and efficiency.
• Follow Caliber and OEM standards and use state-of-the-art equipment.

JOB SUMMARY

Caliber Collision has an immediate job opening for an Auto Painter Helper to efficiently prepare vehicles for painting in cooperation with the Auto Painter to ensure efficient workflow. Duties may include sanding and buffing and maintenance of the paint booth and workspace. Auto Painter Helpers will be required to repair vehicles thoroughly, safely, and profitably in accordance with Caliber and OEM standards using our state‑of‑the‑art equipment.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 1 year of experience in paint operations within a collision center
• Minimum age 18 years
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility for coverage under Caliber’s insurance policy
• Nice to have: Previous collision experience and/or Collision Vo‑Tech certification

ABILITIES / SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE

• Ability to perform consistent physical activity – reach below and above shoulder level, kneel, bend, squat, and lift objects over 50 lbs.
• Understanding of written and verbal instructions
• Ability to prioritize competing tasks and adapt easily to a fast‑paced environment
